Add a chemically sensitive family member to the mix and you can find your entire budget blown before you've worked your way out of the first bedroom! Thankfully for us we hired Charmaine Manley Design as a consultant on our project! Charmaine's guidance has been invaluable to us! Not only has it saved us a lot of time and stress in our decision making process, it has saved us where we really needed it to - in our pocket book! Charmaine has saved us over $2000.00 to date (and counting!) People think hiring an interior designer is a luxury they can't afford but we have learned it is actually the smartest most economical approach one can take.

Charmaine is bubbling with great ideas and was so fun to work with. The colors chosen for this space were daring and modern as were the elements of metal incorporated throughout the building such as the unconventional use of corrugated steel siding. There was great give and take and the final result far exceeded our expectations. We always get rave reviews about the space from everyone who stays there. My name is Woody Medeiros. I run a small non-profit in Charmaine's community called Grandma's House of Central Oregon. We are a homeless shelter for pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their little ones.
Charmaine and her group of incredibly talented designers: The High Desert Design Council, heard we were in dire need of a new kitchen, dining room, computer room for our girls and updated night supervisors' quarters. This amazing group devoted 2 years, volunteering their time talent and energy to assure we not only had a space that functioned well but is absolutely beautiful! Charmaine took a leading role in this project from beginning to end - instrumental in every aspect from the drawings, story boards, construction and completion. She came to the planning meetings and advocated for our design, it was as if she read our minds in what we needed and wanted. When the project was completed and the wall between the existing house and the new addition was being taken down - our precious moms started chanting "MOVE THAT BUS!!" And, just like the TV show, we couldn't believe it was the same house! It is the most functional and beautiful space we have ever seen! Our kitchen needed to address ADA requirements and it was done in such a beautiful and respectful way - it is a design that is timeless and will last forever. There are times when you just don't know how to say "Thank You" enough. By giving our highest recommendation is perhaps one way. Charmaine has talent, style and integrity - she listens to the need and desire of her clients and delivers. She is a compassionate and honorable human being and supports her community. She is a part of Grandma's House heart forever. Love my house! I am unable to select colors from a tiny square sample...but Charmaine has such an eye for color, she can pick the perfect ones to coordinate an entire home. My home is beautiful because Charmaine made me "brave" enough to try some new things. For instance, she suggested antique pieces (dresser and buffet) for bathroom vanity cabinets. Everyone who comes into the house comments on how much they love the unique bathrooms. Using these pieces not only created interest, but it saved me money, too. The antique wood tops were sealed with boat sealer to prevent water damages, so I didn't have to put another counter material over the existing...saving $. Ultimately, Charmaine guided me in making my home the warm, cozy environment I always dreamed about and wanted.
