To fill the awkward space between a support column, Charmaine collaborated with Nancy Welborn, a local woodworker, to design a bar counter using corrugated tin, galvanized pipe and wood. The bar counter also helps define the space between the cafe and part of the store.

This transformative remodel changed the space from a boring, bright white convenience store into a warm and inviting gathering place to sit and look out the windows at the dramatic canyon and Lake Billy Chinook.
