Charmaine Manley Design grew naturally from a love of antiques and a commitment to sustainability.

In 1994, I began my career as an antiques dealer, selling my wares at antique malls, outdoors shows, and twice-yearly sales in my home. I was also the promoter of two Silverton events: the DIVA Antique Sale (2005) and Old Stuff on Main Street (2006)

My career in design began five years ago when one of my customers, intrigued by artful sales displays, inquired as to whether I would consider re-decorating her home.

From this first client, my design business flourished. More residential clients came by word of mouth and city contacts. My strong points are re-purposing items clients already own and filling in with decorative finds.  A commitment to sustainability and the well being of my clients keeps me searching for healthy, locally sourced products to incorporate into the overall design.

I believe design should reflect the client’s lifestyle.

Designer Billy Baldwin said it best:
“Nothing is in good taste unless it suits the way you live. What’s practical is beautiful…and suitability always overrules fashion.”

Charmaine Manley Design has grown to include commercial spaces as well, and can provide re-design services and consultations on design and merchandising.
