A couple years ago, I stumbled across an article regarding shipping containers converted into offices. I tried to get some fellow designers interested in creating something similar in Bend, but it didn't work out at that time.

The idea fermented however, and sparked a conversation between colleagues earlier this year. Happily, the conversation has turned into reality. A group of design associates (ironically, mostly members of the High Desert Design Council) are making private offices out of used shipping containers in a shared warehouse space. We will each have privacy in a creative hub.

My idea has taken off!

The exteriors of each container will be uniform, but we all get to design our own interior. My mind is swirling with ideas...

This is such a spectacular idea. So glad that you'll now have a place to hang your hat, and designs while in Bend. Your ideas about designing the space sound great. Congrats to you and the others involved in this cool plan!
